Hi everyone,

Can’t believe that the summer is almost coming to an end as we are already entering September!

Earlier this summer, Danny shared that honoring the first tenet of Enlightened Hospitality by further investing in our people is the top priority for our company. We are excited to share that we are launching two new programs for ALL USHG team members that were developed directly as a result of your ideas and desire for advancement!

Beginning on October 7th, we are offering a new career planning program entitled “Nurturing Growth” designed for those who wish to explore growth possibilities and learn more about how to advance their careers here at USHG.  You can sign up here and we ask that you also let your manager know that you’ve signed up so they are better equipped to be an advocate for your growth and advancement.

Secondly, in 2016, we will offer a Mentor Program to all USHGers! This is an awesome opportunity to connect directly with senior leaders in our businesses to learn their insights and advice on how you can advance your career within USHG and the hospitality industry at large. We’ll open applications in October, but I wanted to make sure this was on your radar!

Speaking of our senior leaders, we are investing in their growth, too! We will be having USHG’s first ever “Leadership Summit” of our top 70 leaders from across our businesses who will connect for a 3-day event in New Paltz, NY, September 21-23. 

This is an enormous investment of time for our leadership team and it also means that we are asking the people holding down the fort to take on additional responsibilities while we are away.  We couldn’t do this if not for the strength of our teams, and thank you in advance for stepping up while so many of us are away—we are tremendously grateful.

These continue to be incredibly exciting times for our company and we are committed to providing a path for growth and development for all of our people.
