Hi Everyone,

What a week this has been!  So many of you have demonstrated such an incredibly positive response to Danny’s message naming our ambitious goal to move to all-inclusive pricing and eliminate tipping, as well as a willingness to be active participants in contributing to the solution. I wanted to express gratitude for your energy and ideas—thank you!  We held our first Town Hall on Wednesday, and your comments and suggestions were enormously helpful. Please keep them coming and don’t forget that we have another Town Hall on September 28th.

As a reminder, next week, our top 70 leaders from across our businesses will be coming together for a “Leadership Summit” and one of the key themes that we will be discussing is how to advance our commitment to eliminate tipping. Please continue the dialogue with your leaders so they can best represent your perspectives in our conversations.  More news to come when we get back, but if you are interested in following us on Instagram while we are away, check out #USHG1team1dream.

As we’ve mentioned in an earlier email, further investing in our people is a top priority for our company and we continue to expand our offerings to honor our commitment to support your growth, development and advancement at USHG. 

We recently launched a new program entitled “Nurturing Growth,” designed for those who wish to explore growth possibilities and learn more about how to advance their careers here at USHG. The interest in this program has been overwhelming and we are thrilled to offer additional sessions this Fall and Winter.  We ask that you let your manager know that you’ve signed up so they are better equipped to be an advocate for your growth and advancement. We are also continuing our “Career Coaching Program” and encourage those of you who are interested in connecting with Gretchen Garry, our Associate Director of Career Development for a one-on-one session to sign up. Finally, we are launching a company-wide Mentor Program for hourly employees and will open applications in October—more details on this soon!

All of the above programs, including naming our ambitious and noble goal to eliminate tipping, are a direct result of your input and feedback.  Once again, we will be launching our annual ALL USHG employee survey in October and we strongly encourage you to use this as yet another opportunity to share your ideas as they are invaluable to our ability to continue to take even better care of each other!
