Subject: Connect with USHG and Your Colleges
I hope you survived the blizzard! I also want to thank you all for everything you did keeping our businesses up and running last weekend, providing a warm escape for our guests and communities. For many of us, even getting to work was a true demonstration of our Entrepreneurial Spirit.
In my last email I named our commitment to expanding our Learning and Development offerings, a direct result of the feedback 86% of us provided in the All Employee Survey. Thank you for the incredibly positive response you shared about these new programs, and we are offering more trainings as a result of the high demand. As a reminder, please visit inside.ushgnyc.com to learn about and sign up for our trainings.
Another theme we heard was that our teams want more opportunity to learn about USHG and connect with team members from all across USHG. We heard you!
Starting next week, and continuing through February (and beyond!) we have several opportunities for you to learn about where our businesses are headed and to meet your colleagues. You can sign up now for any of the below:
- USE Info Session (3:00, Tuesday, Feb 2) – Union Square Events is one of USHG’s most vibrant businesses, executing everything from the 4,000+ plate Robin Hood Dinner to serving Marta and Blue Smoke on transatlantic Delta flights. Visit the Union Square Events offices and learn about their world and the exciting opportunities they have coming up!
- Union Square Cafe 19th Street Info Session (11:00, Wednesday, Feb 3 / 4:00, Wednesday, Feb 10) – After 30 years on 16th street, USHG’s very first restaurant is getting a brand new home! Join Managing Partners Sam Lipp and Carmen Quagliata as they walk through drawings of the new space, what’s staying, what’s going, and what it’s like to open a 30 year-old start up!
- Hospitality Included Town Hall with The Modern (3:30, Tuesday, Feb 9) – We know you have questions about Hospitality Included, and who better to answer them than the team from The Modern? Join team members from The Modern as they talk about their experiences! All of USHG is welcome, please arrive at The Modern to be shown to the theater.
- Playbook Book Clubs (12:00, Tuesday, Feb 23) – They’re Back! Join Danny in a monthly hour-long roundtable about Our Playbook. This is not a Q+A, but instead an opportunity to come together and talk about Our Playbook, what it means to us, and how we wrestle with the ideas it contains. Signup sheets will be available in your business soon!
For our friends at GreenRiver in Chicago, if you are interested in attending any one of the above, please contact Catherine Hines at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will work to include you in a virtual format.
We hope to see you soon!
