Executive Committee

The Executive Committee is responsible for overseeing everything from the day-to-day operations of USHG (home office and businesses) to strategizing and planning for USHG’s future. The committee splits responsibilities for employees, guests, and investors to try to ensure that USHG’s directives are win-win-win for all parties involved, and that they are in line with USHG’s family values of hospitality, integrity, entrepreneurial spirit, and excellence.

Danny Meyer

  • Oversees EVERYTHING internally and externally including: Home Office Operations, New Business Development, HQ Messaging, USE Development, and New Projects/Growth
  • Speaking engagements on entrepreneurship and USHG Family Values
  • Investor Relations
  • Heads the USHG Board of Directors
  • Heads the Executive Committee (EC)
  • Sits on the board of Shake Shack, Tender Greens and The Container Store
  • Active with Share Our Strength

Richard Coraine

  • Overseeing new businesses 
  • Works with Mark Leavitt and Ron Parker to vet new business opportunities
  • Consults with outside entrepreneurs
  • Interviews candidates who reach out to Danny asking for job advice
  • Speakeasy Club
  • Leads/participates in speaking engagements regarding business leadership and management (including New Leader Orientation)

Erin Moran

  • Oversees the People and Culture team (all touch points in the life cycle of the USHG Employee)
  • Active HI advocate including: media requests & speaking engagements/panels
  • Oversees communication between EC, Home Office & and our businesses
  • Leads the Operating Committee Meetings
  • Leads the Executive Committee Retreat
  • Leads the Leadership Summit

Sabato Sagaria

  • Oversees all restaurant operations including glassware, linens, flatware, food & wine options, consulting and maintenance; invested in guest experiences (monitors, Venga statistics, etc.), new sales & marketing initiatives/opportunities
  • Active HI Advocate including; media requests, speaking engagements/panels
  • Active support for Executive Chef’s and GM’s
  • Runs All Leadership meetings

Ashley Campbell

  • Responsible for all financial data for the Home Office and businesses
  • Oversees corporate controllers
  • Oversees tax and audit preparations, as well as insurance and risk management
  • Distributes quarterly investor statements
  • Runs forecasting meetings

Mark Leavitt

  • Heads up EHI-Enlightened Hospitality Investments
  • Meets with outside potential investors to raise money for the EHI fund
  • Meets with outside potential entrepreneurs to vet investment opportunities
  • Oversees legal

Avisheh Avini

  • Conducts all Legal Affairs for USHG
