We are excited to get out the vote and empower our community to make their voices heard at the polls.  Here you'll find information about voter registration in the tri-state area, polling places, and more!

VOTING: KNOW YOUR RIGHTS!
Election Day is November 6.

USHG guarantees 3 hours of paid time away from your shift on November 6 if your work schedule doesn’t allow sufficient time to vote.

HOW TO TAKE ADVANTAGE: 

Notify your scheduling manager between October 27-November 4.  

N.Y. ELECTION LAW SECTION 3-110 STATES THAT:

If you do not have sufficient time outside your working hours to vote you may take off up to 2 hours at the beginning or end of your shift, with pay, to allow you time to vote.

Sufficient time is defined as:  4 consecutive hours either between the opening of the polls and the beginning of your working shift or between the end of your working shift and the closing of the polls.

You must notify your POPs manager no more than 10 or not less than 2 days before the day of the election that you will take that time.

Make an informed decision when voting. Learn about the candidates and issues that will be on the ballot in your district by using voter guides and sample ballots!

How to Register to Vote

Steps:

  1. Fill out a registration form either (linked below) or pick up a pre-stamped form from the poster in your business. (Ask your POPs manager if you need a different state form).

  2. Follow the instructions to address your from to your county’s Board of Elections.

  3. Drop it in the mail by OCTOBER 12TH.
